George holds an MPhil degree (Training & Development) from the International Management Centres, (UK), and a research MBS degree from the Institute of Technology Tralee.
A professional manager, he has extensive knowledge and skills in new business development and project management. He has twenty years’ experience as manager of Killarney Innovation Centre (www.killarney-innovation.com), an enterprise incubation and business innovation facility. A member of the board of The Kerry Food Hub (www.kerryfoodhub.com), George also managed this specialist food incubator from its inception.
He worked for a number of years as a training consultant and has extensive experience in the design, development and delivery of business and management training programmes. Prior to running his own catering and confectionery businesses, he worked in the catering and hospitality industry in Ireland, the UK and Switzerland.
He has acted as a consultant on multiple EU funded projects across business, enterprise and community development sectors. He is multi-skilled in a range of business functions and has used these skills to produce high quality business plans, funding applications, reports and presentations.
However, George’s real work is as a member of Castlegregory Golf Club. A former club captain and chairman, he has also served as captain of the Federation of County Kerry Golf Clubs. In his secret career he writes historical novels.
